EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE (EPS)
Expanded polystyrene – EPS – is regarded as an excellent insulation material, applied commonly in building industry. EPS has many advantages. It is resistant to water, mould and bacteria. EPS processing doesn’t cause any problems, because EPS doesn’t induce allergy, it is not harmful to health, and it doesn’t require any special safety measures. Thanks to its superb thermal insulation and attractive price EPS is nowadays the most popular insulation material on Polish market.
EPS boards are applied as thermal insulation in building industry, mainly as insulation of external walls, roofs, ceilings, floors and heating and cooling devices. They are also commonly used as core material for sandwich panels.
